SEMESTER 2

SESI 2015/2016

1.0 OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this course is to expose students on the practical aspect of engineering mechanics
involving mechanical vibrations and mechanics of solid. Students are also trained on how to convey the
knowledge/findings through two types of communication skills: Technical report and presentation.
2.0 LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
LO1
LO2
LO3
LO4
LO5

Conduct the experiment in accordance with standard practice. (P4, A3)

Interpret and analyze collected data corresponding to the relevant theoretical knowledge. (C4)
Function effectively as individual or in a group during experimental session. (TS, LS, A3)
Write a good report that explains the experimental finding with standard technical writing
format. (CS)
Present and defend experimental findings in a seminar confidently. (CS)
