INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, the way many people interact with each other changed because of technology.
In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a
positive or negative development? It is true that nowadays technology rules the world.
Undoubtedly, human interaction has been influenced through introduction of new technological
devices. Obviously, there are positive and negative impacts on people communication that
technology is responsible for. First of all, absolute advantage is that technology makes the world
move faster.
On the other hand, introduction and popularity of new technological devices may have
harmful impact on human interaction. It is mentioned that people prefer spending their time using
personal gadgets over real face to face communication. This problem has already become global
issue. Many governmental bodies introduce social advertising campaign in order to attract
attention to the problem of declining rate of face-to-face communication.
Additionally, it is known that more and more people at work are now being replaced by
machines. As a result working environment of a regular employee is changed, and common area
of interaction is limited to number of machines instead of coworkers. In general, technology
positively and negatively affects human interaction. However positive impacts overweight
negative ones.
Innovation have made possible for the operations of the computer easy enough in
processing checking balance such as, creation of data records, storing, filing and retrieval of data.
The College for Research and Technology as increased in students population and at the same
time, the number of works of the cashier and students tuition fee balances to be processed has
also increased. One of the responsibilities of the cashier office is to keep the students balances
data secured for their records and purposes.
Online Balance Inquiry System is an internally developed web-based application used for
checking the total assessment and balance of the students of College for Research and
Technology(Gapan Campus). Students can view their balance online using computer that have an

internet access. College for Research and Technology(Gapan Campus) is the recipient of the
researchers created system.
An Online Balance Inquiry System provides efficient and accurate balance. On the other
hand, it intends to perform the following operations, study and develop the manual operation by
the office of the cashier, find out what are the circumstances causes the delay of releasing of
balances, minimize the time consumed in searching for the statements of the students in the
filling and retrieval of data. To ease these difficulties in knowing the balances, a system using the
Online Balance Inquiry System.
In addition, Online Balance Inquiry System is also great help to students to know their
balance even they are not in school.
This Capstone Project is installed and created using PHP and MySQL as our database.
MySQL is a freely available open source Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
that uses Structured Query Language (SQL). SQL is the most popular language for adding,
accessing and managing content in a database. It is most noted for its quick processing, proven
reliability, ease and flexibility of use.
Specific Objectives
The objective of the study are the following:
1. To provide a system that will help the students and cashier to do a quick and immediate task with
less effort and time by using the said system.
2. To enhance the process of viewing the tuition fee balance of the students.

Foreign Literature
According to George Epstein Computer is an electronic device that performs calculation
and processes information. It handles vast amount of facts and figures and solves complex
problems at incredibility high speeds. A computer can processes many kinds of information, from
book titles and customers account numbers to chemical formulas and words from ancient Greek
texts. It handles all such data in the form of numbers. According to Marina Orsini-Jones and
Laura Pibworth This chapter reports on the evaluation of language learning SNSs carried out by
expert students who are training to become Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)
at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. While stressing the positive features available on
these sites and novel ways in which they can enable personalized language learning, this study
also focuses on some troublesome aspects that occur when learners engage with Web 2.0 tools. It
discusses how initial motivation towards these tools can turn into frustration, mirroring the results
of a previous auto ethnographic study carried out on SNSs. It also llustrates how these global
ubiquitous platforms pose a dilemma for language practitioners who work within institutional
teaching settings. Teachers recognize the language learning potential of these tools, but are also
worried by the ethical threat they can pose, which can normally be avoided, or at least moderated,
within institutional proprietary and less exciting platforms.

Technical Background
Technicality of the Project
Methods of Research
It is the phase where client are interviewed and a document called the user requirements
document is generated. The requirements will describe the systems functionality, physical
interface, performance, data, security requirements etc. as expected by the client. It is one which
the business analysts use to communicate their understanding of the system back to the users.
During this step, the researchers came up a unique application by having an intensive research
about the topic.
Observation Method- It is a way to gather information on the spot by taking note of the
details of procedures, flows, and routine of a particular research target. The researchers used this
method to determine the feasibility of the study.
Interview Method- This may be performed formally or informally. There is a directed
conversation (formal interview) that uses a question-and-answer format. There is also an openended conversation (informal interview) where questions arise spontaneously relative to the flow
of the answer given by the respondent(s). The researchers interviewed the companys president
and assistants in order to get ideas on planning the study and identifying its requirements.
Internet Method- It is the most advanced and highly efficient way of gathering data.
There is a vast amount of electronic information available on the Internet. The researchers used
this method in gathering the needed information in requirements analysis phase.

Cost and Benefits Analysis
The researchers plan to sell the whole website with the price of Php. 50, 000. It doesnt
include the domain registration, hosting service and maintenance. That will be billed 24,900
annually

Conclusion
Based on the results of this study, the researchers came up with the following conclusions:
Online Balance Inquiry System is an important tool that College for Reasearch And
Technology(Gapan campus) can use to lessen the time consumed and eliminated paper work and
have an easier and effective way to transact to user. It provides a user-friendly web pages . It will
also reduce time consumed for manual transaction of viewing of balance of the
studentTherefore, the transaction with the student will become more easier, more effective, a lot
easier compared to the existing system.
Recommendations
The recommendations given are the following:
College for Research and Technology should acknowledge the importance of modern
technology for a better and improved performance.
In backing up the database and other technical issues, they can contact the developers for
technical support.
