Relative Clauses Which
Using "which" to modify the whole sentence
First spot the difference between the two sample sentences below then decide
whether to use comma in following sentences or not.
1. The student answered the question which surprised the teachers.
The student answered the question, which surprised the teachers.
2. Max isn't home yet which worries me.
3. Won't you ever stop talking about things which make me nervous?
4. Mr. Wallace came up with his students which was a pleasant surprise.
5. I shut the door on my necktie which was very stupid of me.
6. Jerry was fired from his work which surprised all of his co-workers.
7. Did you get the message which concerned the special meeting.
8. One day you'll learn where you once belonged which will surely annoy you.
