1.1 Name
T301 Engineering an 800xA System - Advanced
1.2 Duration
5 days.
1.3 Description
The course goal is to provide students a deeper insight into engineering items and
tools. The practical lessons are aligned to students who have already experiences with
800xA systems.
1.4 Objectives
Upon Completion of this course, Students will be able to:
Work with the Library Handling, create/modify base libraries and extension
libraries, versioning.
Design a Function Block Type or Control Module type and create a Faceplate
for it.
Work with the Graphics Builder, design graphic primitives and deal with
Visual Basic code.
Expand a general Sequential Function Chart with the functionality of the Two
Direction SFC Control Modules/Function Blocks (Faceplate, Time control,
SFC Viewer aspect)
Work with the Import Export tool of the Process Portal, e.g. export a library
and import it somewhere else.
Deal with the Bulk Data Manager. Work with the basic functionality and with
templates. Learn how to work with Bulk Data Manager and Functional
Designer.

1.9.2 Objectives
One goal is that you learn to program and configure a complete application for
AC800M controllers, using the Control Builder and System 800xA. To do this you
will expand the system from the T300 Engineering an 800xA System course.
The exercises are adapted in such a way, that you will understand the work flow that
should be followed for any project. You can apply what you learn here to your own
project.
