1. Scope and Objectives of the Course


This course will provide an in depth knowledge of fundamental principles of
antenna theory and wave propagation.
The contents of the course would enable students to apply the concepts of
antenna theory for analysis, design and measurements of antennas.
This course imparts the concepts of principles of working for different types of
antennas.
It will help the students to apply the knowledge of antennas for project
formulation.

Details of Component-1: There will be three sessional tests (STs) for all the theory
papers as per below stated guidelines:
(i) 1st sessional test will be from 0- 50% syllabus of the subject
(ii) 2nd sessional test will be from 51-100% syllabus of the subject.
(iii) 3rd sessional test will be from full syllabus.
(iv) The best two sessional tests will be considered for finalizing the internal of the
subject.
Details of Component-2: The End Term Examination will be held at the end of
semester. As per academic guidelines minimum 75% attendance is required to
become eligible for appearing in the end term examination. The syllabus for the end
term will be from 0-100%
