On behalf of the Department of Business Economics and Management Studies, I welcome you all for Entreuzest 2016 3rd edition of the annual management festival of Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi. The department of Business Economics and Management Studies has been conducting various activities throughout the year to help students learn and celebrate the managerial acumen of some of the brightest budding business minds. Each year Entreuzest provides the participants the taste of what it is like in the corporate world by subjecting them to extreme conditions that tests their patience, caliber and creativity. It tests their ability to storm, norm and ultimately perform. Today we have amongst us Mr. Rustam Sengupta, CEO and Founder of Boond Engineering and Development Products. Mr. Sengupta, a native of West Bengal, graduated from University of California and then pursued his MBA from INSEAD, Paris. He has travelled 21 countries, worked in most but didnt anywhere leave his passion for travel. From camping in South African jungles to meditation in the Himalayas he has done it all. He displays array of skills be it Analytics and marketing or Financial analysis and planning. Been a part of many multinational companies like Deloitte, Standard Chartered bank and Syngenta International AG Mr. Sengupta still insists on making an impact rather making power point presentations and using excel sheets to make millionaires into billionaires. Touching the life in the most needed and raw form, his organisation BOOND winner of many awards focuses on alternate energy to the remotest village of India. To help the kid trying to clear his matriculation not by reading next to an ill lit oil lamp but atleast a bulb, curing not just the basic need for electricity but administer to social issues I would now like to invite our head of the department, Ms. Sonia Suchdeva to present a token of appreciation to our guest. Entreprenuership, Fund Raising and Team Building
No degree, qualification can imbibe the qualities of an entrepreneur. The way you observe things, the way you arrive at a solution, the way you create something. This is what sets you apart. Entrepreneurship, in its very basic essence refers to the ability to identify a need and furnish an opportunity out of it. Even the government these days is initiating and assisting (financially) the ideas of youngsters and providing a boot start. Marching into the era of start ups. Our college is setting an incubation center as well. An idea needs to be backed up by funds otherwise it might not survive. Fund Raising is as important as the idea itself Team Building is a necessity of each and every group to achieve its goals, from a football team to a team planning a countrys budget. Each member of the team must feel important and be motivated throughout. Integrating team goals with those of individuals, and working together to improve the efficiency All of us are acquainted with these terms. But It is time to hear about them from the expert in the house. Now I would request Mr. Rustam Sengupta to enlighten us.
