PORTABLE OXYGEN CYLINDER

On pre-flight check of Portable Oxygen Cylinder we check for: adequate quantity and location,
secured in bracket, pressure gauge, and adequate number. We use POC when a Pax has lack
of oxygen during a normal flight. We take the Oxygen from its bracket, check the pressure
gauge (it must be on green), connect the mask to bayonet, turn ON/OF Valve, make sure there
is oxygen flow, pull the mask over Pax nose and mouth and secure it with elastic strap. Make
sure not to waste it all
After use: remove the mask from Pax face, turn the Valve OFF, disconnect the mask from
bayonet, put it back on its place and write a report.
Each Portable Oxygen Cylinder in the Cabin is equipped with at least one continuous flow
mask.

PROTECTIVE BREATHING EQUIPMENT OXYCREW

The Protective Breathing Equipment-Oxycrew, is designed to protect the human eyes, nose,
mouth and lungs from smoke, heat and toxic fumes. On pre-flight check we should check for:
adequate quantity and location, check the seal at the locking clamp for damages, check the box
that is undamaged, properly closed, and yellow serviceability indicator must be visible and not
broken. The oxygen generates oxygen for more than 20 minutes. To use the Oxycrew: open the
Oxycrew box by releasing the locking clamp, remove the sealed bag from the box, open the
sealed bag by pulling the red tear strap, and unfold the Oxycrew fully.
To remove Oxycrew, we release the loop at our hip; we put our hands through the neck seal.
Widen the belt and pull Oxycrw upward of our head. We have to be carefully when removing
Oxycrew because the unit may be hot to touch. In the end we write a report.

HAND FIRE EXTINGUISHER HALON 1211

Halon is all-type fire extinguisher in the Air Craft. In case of fire immediately take the fire
extinguisher and fight the fire. Commander shall be notified as soon as possible about location
of fire, color, what is burning, how its affecting passenger and how many Halons has been
used. The first one who discovers a fire is Fire Fighter and the second one is Fire Fighter
Assistant. He must carry out to bring additional extinguishers, gloves, Oxycrew and Crash Axe
(if nessesary). To use Halon: remove from bracket, pull safety pin and press don safety catch,
aim the nozzle to the base of fire, pull the handle and make sure to waste it all. At pre-flight
check we must check for: adequate quantity and location, secured in bracket, seal intact,
pressure gauge in green zone, and, nozzle unobstructed.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID KIT EFAK

Emergency First Aid Kits are provided for injuries occurring during flight or emergency landing.
On pre-flight check we check for expiry date, content and to be sealed.
DISPOSABLE FIRST AID KIT DEFAK
Disposable First Aid Kits are provided for daily use. On pre-flight check we check for expiry
date, content and to be sealed.
