1. Possible Causes

The communications between the PSU and the PMU in the power system fails.

Check whether the number of power modules configured on the LMT is the same with the
actual configuration.

1. Description
This alarm is reported when the main controlling module detects abnormal communication
between it and the radio frequency (RF) front module.
The alarm severity is major.

Alarm Impact
1. Impact on System
This alarm indicates that communication is unavailable between the main controlling module
and the RF front module. As all the alarms of the RF front module are reported through the
main controlling module, this alarm cannot be monitored in the BSC.
If there is not other problem with the RF front module, the basic services can go on.

1) The corresponding RF module is not installed.
2) The communication interface board in the RF front module is faulty.

1) Check if the RF module has been installed and powered on.

N=> Adjust the terminal and the terminal cable. Then go to Step 3).
3) Check whether the alarm is cleared.
Connect the cables of the RF front module properly and power it on. Check whether the alarm
is cleared.

N=> The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

9734 Temperature Sensor Fault


Alarm Meaning
1. Description
This alarm is reported when communication between the NFCB and the temperature sensors
on the NFCB and air intake vent is interrupted.
The alarm severity is critical.

of the fan box and the interface board of the temperature sensor are properly connected. Then

c) Replace the interface board of the temperature sensor at the air inlet. Check if the alarm is
cleared.

1. Description
This alarm is triggered when the communication between the PMU and the PSU is
interrupted.

5328 Level 2 VSWR Alarm


Alarm Meaning
1. Description
The DUP Unit reports a VSWR alarm when detecting that the VSWR on antenna port A or
antennal port B is greater than Serious Standing Wave Radio Alarm Threshold (default
Value: 3.0).
The alarm severity is critical.

2) Check the connections between the antenna port of the DUP Unit and the antenna.
Check the connections of the jumper of the DUP Unit antenna port, the lightening arrester,
feeder, tower mounted amplifier and the antenna. Check and fasten the connector between the
antenna port and the antenna and see whether the alarm is cleared.
Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.
N=> Go to Step 3).
3) Test the standing wave ratio of the Antenna Feeder System.
Test the standing wave ratio of the jumper of the DUP Unit antenna port, the lightening
arrester, feeder, tower mounted amplifier and the antenna. If there is wrong, replace the faulty
component.
Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.
N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 4).
4) Replace the DUP Unit
Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.
N=> The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

If the standing wave ratio of the jumper of the DUP Unit antenna port is abnormal,
you can confirm that the DUP Unit but not the jumper is faulty.
Reset the TRX to restart the services.

5326 Level 1 VSWR Alarm


Alarm Meaning

1. Description
The DUP Unit reports a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) alarm when detecting that the
VSWR on antenna port A or antennal port B is greater than Standing Wave Radio Alarm
Threshold (default value: 2.0) but smaller than Serious Standing Wave Radio Alarm
Threshold (default Value: 3.0).
The alarm severity is major.
