Chapter I
Introduction and Background
Introduction
The technology today place a vital role in our society, it makes a mans work
easier and fast. Computerized system nowadays lessens error of work by using machines
and technology. It reduces cost to an organization from paper works up to automized
working system. Many manual transactions can be computerized by using software
applications or computer systems to make work easier and efficient. The objective of
technology nowadays is to help humanity from doing loads of works over time but by
having these computerized systems. The cost during transaction will be cut down, much
effort will be reduced, and more time with our family and also helps us to save the
environment.
This will also serve as information database especially for those non
-professional and professional.

The operational transaction involves a series of

customers that covers all the requirements of creating a computerized operational

transaction system using the web.
This is a class of information systems facilitate and manage transaction-oriented
applications, typically for data entry and retrieval transaction processing. The term is
somewhat ambiguous; some understand a "transaction" in the context of computer
or database transactions, while others (such as the Transaction Processing Performance
Council) define it in terms of business or commercial transactions.

The goal of the study is to provide an efficient computer web-based system
that will easily

update retrieve, and maintain customers records. The researchers

main concern is to make a

system that will help to speed up all existing procedures

and process. The study aims to provide a system that will serve as there system
administration, Cashier, and accurate database with efficiency in matters related to their
operational transaction.
Background of the Study
The subject of this study is the operational transaction of MGLM Iron Works
Transaction and Services System, this company was started on 2010 as a small business
owned by Millarpis family. MGLM business has a big part in todays industry, most of us
needs more convenient and easy to pass by furnishing metal works, the current manual
system existing was the use of text messaging for contacting the person assigned for the
services needed by the client/customer. Also the current use of written log books for the
products they has been there daily routine for inventory. The use of manual written
receipt has been using since the business was started.
One of the hassle parts of having this kind of business is keeping of inventory
files contains different brands, sizes and usage by that it takes more time and effort to
find the exact price for products and in terms of listing their daily and month sales.
The security of their sales is unsecured, because the cashier annually computes
each transaction uses log books for inventory daily sales.

Wrong insurance of servicing price, equipments, items and parts could result
to loss of sales. This system will smoothen every transaction thru accuracy of amount,
records, logs, filling and can only be accessed by authorize personnel of the owner.
To solve the problems of using manual procedures, as a web developer we will
enhance their process by creating a web based system. This system was entitled MGLM
Iron Works and aluminum fabricator transactions and services system. We will apply the
use of computerized system by creating a working database that will serve the users or
the cashier for their inventory. Also we will provide a working online transaction for
selling their tools and equipments, so that the MGLM will offer the finest, unique, quality
workmanship that you rely on. By providing them this system we are helping them reach
their mission and vision.

Delimitation of the study
The study has the following identified limitation.

off-line database

The administrator/owner of the Company can use the system.

Users and Beneficiaries

This online system is created for the benefit of the company also the possible
customers, as this system will also serve as promotion for them because of its easy access
in the web. The benefit of the system to the users is they can communicate in a simplest
and fastest. This system has a great advantage compared to the old transaction.
In the customers part in Online Transaction Process, they can order a product
what they need in the particular Website. The implementation of the proposed will
minimized paper works and therefore simply and improve the focus of manager and staff
in keeping secured transaction and servicing of company.
Nature of System Investigation
In Identify potential problems and opportunities and consider them in light of
the goals of the MGLM Iron Works and Aluminum Fabricator Transaction and Services
System.
The investigation used was a researcher made interview to the person who
owned the MGLM Iron Works and Aluminum Fabricator Transaction and Services
System in Central Signal Village, Taguig City.

The researcher also made a questionnaire check list to gather the needed data
for the companys profile. The draft of the questionnaire was drowning out based on
researchers readings, previous studies, and professional literature, publish and
unpublished thesis relevant to the study. After that we collect the information we
construct the needed of an appropriate system that they want. In that case we decided to
form an online processing system to keep secured and quick processing.

Chapter IV
Structured Analysis
Understanding the System
We understand that the system can be complicated. There are several distinctions that
are important when determine problems. To complete this study, it is necessary to analyze

the problem and the needs of a manual processing system of MGLM, because the
existing system of MGLM is manual system.
With manual systems the level of service is dependent on individuals and this puts
a requirement on management to run training continuously for staff to keep them
motivated and to ensure they are following the correct procedures. It can be all easy to
accidentally switch details and end up with inconsistency in data entry or in hand written
orders. This has the effect of not only causing problems with customer service but also
making information unable be used for reporting or finding trends with data discovery.
This system develops to make sure that any details are secured, and become easier
during transaction.

This chapter represents the summary of the study in regarding to the
relevant of implementation of MGLM Iron Works and Aluminum Fabricator Transaction
and Services System. The methods used to perform the researcher and the results related
to the study. The study was manipulated from the first semester of the school year 2015
2016.
This study also aimed to identify the advantages and disadvantages of online
processing system. In order to answer this, the researchers applying methods designed
questioners.

Conclusion
The Development of MGLM Iron Works and Aluminum Fabricator Transaction
and Services System are now sufficient in the conclusion of its security in Transaction
records, Customers because it can less time consuming. After extensive study has been
done and with the outcome of this system, it was proven that this system can help a lot
the company in terms of online transaction process, and for the part of online shoppers
theres no transportation because, the company will provide the delivery of for purchased
products, compared to the manual ordering youll need time just to visit their stall or
location.
It also actually lessens the time and manpower done compared to the nonelectronic commerce with this system a business company would surely benefit.
Recommendation
Based on the results of the findings and conclusions gathered, the
researchers would like to recommend the following:
