¾ What was the question or topic that you were trying to explore?

Students will research and explore package design for an album that was produced prior to
their birth. Students will then redesign the packaging system using design software.

interested in the same Career Area?
Develop and Design a packaging identity of an artist that will be chosen at random. The
CD packaging should be designed in a manor that is fresh and insightful. The final package
should not resemble anything close to the original package. The final design must
represent the chosen predetermined artist promoting a specific album for the customer.
Students need to design the cover, inside front cover, back cover otherwise known as the
tray card, and the CD
disc.

¾ Write a brief description of your product (What did you create, present, and/or produce?)

Students will design an album packaging system. They will use the latest graphic design
software in the industry to create (Adobe CS3 suite) and print color panels to fit within the
jewel case. Students will also print an adhesive label that will be adhered to the CD.
Students concluded the project by completing a self and peer evaluation on the project.
