WIND TURBINE

Wind turbines are used to generate electricity from the kinetic power of the wind.wind
turbine consists of several components. including rotor blades, gear box, low-speed shaft,
hight speed shafts, generator, and a tower.
1. structures
propeller blades are made of fiberglass and steel.
gear box contains the gear is made of solid steel.
low-speed shafts made of mild steel rods.
hight speed shafts made from the same material as the low-speed shaft but larger
and short.
tower made of reinforced concrete.
generator is made of steel and includes a magnet and a coil of copper
2. properties and shapes
propeller blades have a tough material that is not easily damaged. shaped like an
oval and flat. though made of tough lightweight propeller blades should remain so
easily driven wind.
gear box contains interrelated gear arrangement that hard. shape is a toothed
wheel with a size that is different.
low-speed shaft (LSS) and hight speed shaft (HSS) has a tough and hard material
because it is made of steel. tube shape, LSS pick stem longer than the HSS.
generator is the most important tool is a tubular instrument that contains magnets
and copper windings. protector is made of hard material that is heat resistant.
tower is the most tough and hard, because the tower is the buffer of the other part.

3. location
propeller blades are in the front position

LSS is behind the propeller blades.

gear box is between LSS and HSS.

the generator is behind the other.

and all of them are in the top tower

4. measurement
the length of the propeller blades is 5 m, and 15 cm thick.

LSS length is about 40 cm,

while HSS is only about 20 cm in length.

gear possess different sizes and there is a big difference small.

diameter generator has about 50 cm.

tower has a height of 50 m and a diameter of 50 cm.

5.function
propeller blades serves to catch the wind and rotate the LSS.
LSS serves to turn the gear that connects to the HSS.
gear box serves to connect the LSS and HSS and maintain the speed of rotation.
HSS serves to increase the rotation speed of the generator.
generator serves to transform mechanical energy into electricity.
tower serves to support the existing tools on it.
6. the way it works is:
first when the wind moving the propeller blades, propeller blades will rotate LSS.
after the round of LSS will rotate gear in the gear box.
The next gear that spins will be connected to HSS.

when HSS spin and rotate the generator, copper windings will rotate and when the
magnet will generate electricity.
electricity will be supplied to the subsequent settlement.
