Cavafix Mono
The Cavafix product family supports speedy and precise central
venous catheterization via a peripheral access. The Braunula technique is typically used when the Seldinger technique is either not
possible or necessary. A sterile setting is not required for the
catheter placement, and the catheter position can be verified
immediately and with absolute reliability via an intravascular
ECG (as with Seldinger systems). The catheter is placed safely
and can be used at once without any additional time-consuming
examinations that strain the patient and stress the staff.

A quick look at the ECG monitor shows: The P wave is

clearly elevated indicating that the catheter tip is directly
before the right atrium.

The catheter tip has been withdrawn 2 to 3 cm in the

superior vena cava and the P wave has normalized.
Now the catheter has reached its final verified position.
