The Ordinance proposes 3 things
o Allows urban agriculture on zones throughout the County
(everywhere people live, most places people work)
o Allows urban agriculture stands to sell produce on lots where
it is grown
o Requests the County adopt the urban agriculture incentive zone
program to allow tax breaks for urban agriculture parcels.

The Urban Agriculture Ordinance


Under the County proposal, urban agriculture is: Growing fruits, herbs,
and/or vegetables and/or raising animals in an urban area for food or other purposes.
Urban agriculture includes, but is not limited to, market gardens, private gardens,
and community gardens.

QUESTION: So, growing for sale is legal- where can I sell?
ANSWER: The ordinance does not specify or require any particular method of
sale. You could sell:
To a restaurant just make sure you provide a bill of sale!
To a corner store in your neighborhood bill of sale!
At a farmers market

No permit needed up to 120 square feet
Set up O.K. from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Allows the sale of food from other urban
agriculture operations or cottage food
operators
