The following questions subject to change or addition as God gives us light, could be asked of prospective
elders, deacons, teachers, ministers, and those requesting missionary support.
1. Do you believe God exists? Hebrews 11:6, Romans 1:20
2. What is your understanding of the nature of God as three persons yet one God? Matthew 28:19,
2 Corinthians 13:14, John 16:7-10
3. Do you believe that Jesus is the divine son of God? John 1:1,14; John 8:54-58, John 20:28
4. Do you believe the scriptures as originally transmitted, are the inerrant word of God? 2 Timothy 3:16,
2 Peter 1:16-21; 2 Peter 3:14-18
5. Do you believe Jesus was born of a virgin? Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:26-35
6. Do you believe Jesus performed miracles? Matthew 8:24-27, Mark 6:35-44, John 11:17-25
7. Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world? John 1:29, 1 John 2:2, 1 Peter 1:17-21; 2:24
8. Do you believe Jesus rose bodily from the grave? John 20:11-18, Luke 24:1-8,36-42, 1 Corinthians 15:12-15
9. Do you believe humans are conceived in sin, or conceived in innocence with natural desires that lead to sin?

10. Do you believe God in His sovereignty has chosen some to be eternally saved and some to be eternally

11. Do you believe in the reality of eternal separation from God for those who obey not the gospel and eternal

12. Do you believe one must be immersed into Christ in order to be saved from sin and from Gods wrath
coming upon the sons of disobedience? Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21, Ephesians 5:6
13. Do you believe that once a person is saved from past sins, he or she must be faithful until death in order to
receive a crown of life? Revelation 2:10, Matthew 10:22, 24:13, Hebrews 3:14
14. Do you believe Jesus will come again and that all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to give an
account of deeds done in the body, whether good or bad? Romans 14:10, 2 Corinthians 5:10,

15. Do you believe an important purpose of the Christian community is to seek and save the lost? Jude 1:3,

16. Do you believe the practice of homosexuality and sex before and outside of marriage, are sinful
