1. Check explosion Door if fitted
2. Open Feed water Valve
3. Open Boiler Gas Main and Bypass Inlet Isolation Valves and reset Block valve if
reuired.
4. Check Gauge Glasses are in service and water level is within limits
5. If water level is low, top up water level
6. . Once the water level is over half way on the gauge glass, turn the switch on the left
from Fill to AUTO.
7. Switch the Burner On/Off switch to ON. The Forced Draft Fan will start and the PrePurge Cycle will commence.
8. Once the Purge is complete the Pilot will light & then the Burner start up
automatically and hold at Low Fire until the pressure reaches 150 350 kPa to avoid
thermal shock.
9. When pressure reaches working pressure notify downstream users
10. Open the Boiler Main Steam Stop Valve (Very, very slowly) .
11. Test auto blow down valve
12. Walk and Check the Steam Supply Pipe work and ensure it is draining correctly via
the various Steam Traps and Drains

switch to FILL, Feed water Pumps will start.
When water level is way (140), switch FILL / OFF / AUTO Switch to OFF
Shut the Boiler Main and Bypass Gas Inlet Isolation Valves
