Nature of Requirement:

IIMB WI-FI Configuration on android devices

Solution

Identify MAC address of your device

Follow the below steps to find the MAC address of Android mobile or Tablet:
Option1:
From the Android Home Screen, click the Menu Button and then go to Settings.
From the Settings Page, scroll down to bottom of the page.
There you will find about Phone/Tablet section and open it.
Now select Status section on the About Phone/Tablet page.
You can find your device's MAC address from the Wi-Fi MAC address section.
Note it down the same
The Media Access Control (MAC) address is a unique 12-character identifier
(e.g.00:00:00:00:00:0X) for a specific piece of hardware, like the network adapter
located in Wi-Fi devices

Option2:
On the Home screen, tap the Menu button and go to Settings. Tap About Phone.
Tap Status.
Scroll down to see your Wi-Fi MAC address.

Option3:
On the Home screen, tap the Menu button and go to Settings. Tap About Phone.
Tap Hardware information.
Scroll down to see your WI-Fi MAC address

Device Registration
Open the following URL http://mydevices.iimb.ernet.in Login using Alias name and password

Click on Add, Enter the MAC address of the wireless adapter noted in the format in the Device ID
Column &Device name and submit.

Status will be pending but there wont be any issue with accessing the internet

Disable & Enable the Wi-Fi, internet will be accessible

Connecting to IIMB WiFi from your device

From the Android Home Screen, click the Menu Button and then go to Settings.
Go to Wi-Fi & turn the Wi-Fi settings to ON
From the displayed Available networks Choose appropriate IIMB-Hostel / IIMBStudent / IIMB-Class
Provide the user ID as your alias & enter the password as your credentials
