DESKRIPSI
Descriptions

In this activity, students produce instructional videos for DIY (DoIt-Yourself) projects.
In groups of 8-10, students:

Implementation

discuss and produce two DIY projects based on any used items
or clothes,
explain and demonstrate every step of each project, and videorecord the demonstrations,
upload the videos on a dedicated website at the end of Week 3
and Week 6.

1. Students meet two hours per week for six weeks to complete the
task.
2. Facilitators monitor student attendance and participation.
3. Venues will be at appropriate locations.

DESKRIPSI
Descriptions

In this activity, students plan and produce a public service (PSA)

video based on social issues.
In groups of 6-8, students:

gather news items from newspapers or online media on various

social issues in Malaysia or around the world,
discuss and decide on the topic of their PSA video (e.g. the
plight of the Orang Asli, child brides, migrant workers),
conduct further research on their selected topic to gather more
details using appropriate methods (e.g. library research,
interviews),
plan and write the script for their PSA video, and
produce:
(i) one PSA video of 2-3 minutes in length complete with
narration and captions,

(ii) one behind-the-scenes production video in which each

student speaks about 1 minute on the role he/she played in
the production of the video, what he/she has learned from
the experience, and personal message about the particular
social issue.
The PSA video and behind-the-scenes production video shall be
uploaded on to a designated website. The PSA video may also be
entered into a video competition.
