I. Introduction
The School Improvement Plan (SIP) of Dalogo Elementary School was
made possible through the shared efforts of the school head, teachers, pupils,
internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. It embodied the schools
mission and vision and the needed strategies/ activities appropriate to
undertake how to attain that VISION.
The plan describes the major problems and set of priorities to which the
school personnel would want to implement in the next three year cycle.
The SIP is the schools major planning document that encourage in
school to be aware about its values and to use such values to identify expected
behavior to improve school performance.

A.1.a. Name

A.1.b. History of the School


Dalogo Elementary School was established year 1969 through the effort
of the Brgy. Council together with the help of Family Panday who donated the
lot for the school site and makes the project possible. At first the school was
made up of bamboo and nipa hut. It was only a year after the school built with
concrete buildings.
At present, there are six buildings with 5 classrooms and 1 office. A
temporary classroom was provided for the kinder class. It has 7 classes, 1 class
(morning) for kindergarten, 3 classes for primary and 3 classes for
intermediate, under the present OIC/School head Mr. Dexter V. Rabo, T-1.

Type of School
Dalogo Elementary School has complete elementary grades from Grade 1

to Grade VI categorized under combined monograde-multigrade with (5)


permanent teachers and 1 Kinder Volunteer Teacher under the leadership of
Cluster Head.

A.3.a Curriculum
The curriculum of the school follows what the law, rules and policies of
the Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) of the Department of Education which
started effective school year 2004-2005. Localization in the curriculum is
implemented as school initiated intervention to address needs of pupils.

The school has a School Head/OIC with a designation of T-1, with six

teachers on which five teachers are plantilla based on nationally funded.

Workshop
The school has no room allotted for workshop due to classroom shortage.
The main priority of the school is to have a classroom instead for instruction.
Toilet
The school has 3 toilets, one provided for boys and one for girls. There is
also a toilet allotted for teachers. Presently, the school is recipient of 3 sets of
toilet with hand wash facilities allocated by DepEd but construction is not yet
finished.

Heads Office.

Community Profile
B.1

Socio- Cultural

Barangay Gamot has a population of ___________ with the total number of


_______ households, the registered voters are ________________ (as of 2001
survey).
Responsible organizations in the barangay are the Barangay Council, SK
Council, 4Ps Organization. The usual aim of these organizations is the
economic development and improvement of the barangay.
Mostly in barangay believes in superstitious beliefs and anitos (ancestral
spirits. They also believe in albolaryo, use Bawi to drive out evil spirits and
employs the Mag-apag. In terms of Marriage, the family of the man gives
dote to the bride. They also practice the manugang system. They have close
ties among family members and some of them belong in extended family. They

used to respect others especially the elders by means of Pagmamano and


using po or opo and tabi which means please.
Some mothers practice sumbil which refer to the action of parents who
give a child his/her first solid food which they believe to develop the child
physically and mentally. The spirit of bayanihan is prominent among the
people in the barangay.

Political
The Barangay Captain and the Barangay Councilors, even they ran on a

different political parties, after the election they were unite and perform their
duties and obligations for the welfare of the people in our barangay, likewise the
barangay secretary and treasurer.

Geography
Sitio Dalogo is one of the sitio of Barangay Gamot. There are two sitio of

Barangay Gamot, the other one is Sitio Luya which is located in the upper part
of Dalogo. Sitio Dalogo is almost 13 kilometers away from the town proper of
Polangui and 2 kilometers away from central Gamot.
Barangay Gamot has a total land area of 34,517 sqm (34 Hectares)
mostly used for agricultural and residential. It is bounded on the east of
Cepres, south of Itaran and west of Kinuartelan.

Economy
Farming is the main source of the livelihood. Most of the people in the

barangay engaged in planting sugar cane, crops, vegetables, fruit bearing trees,
and coconut. They also produce kalamay or panutsa, copra and charcoal.
Some of them engaged in buy and sell and poultry/livestock business. Others
involve in employment in the town proper and some go to Manila to look for job
opportunities.

Electricity reaches all area of the barangay, supplied by APEC. The


primary source of water for drinking and consumption is being supplied by the
local water district.
Regular public transportation from Dalogo to Barangay Pintor which is a
nearest barangay is not available due to eroded rough road and very much
need to repair. Motorcycle habal-habal and hiking are the only means of
transportation going to Pintor and Town Proper.
