DEVELOPMENT
An overnight demolition permit for the former Washington Post complex was thrown out yesterday,
with an administrative judge ruling that there was no convincing justification for exceeding normal
construction hours for 90 days. (all editions)
A proposed new wing at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital faced harsh criticisms from the Old
Georgetown Board last Thursday, with members saying the pavilion isn't artfully designed and doesn't
adequately reflect planning principles for open space or pedestrian-vehicular interactions.

American University is preparing to celebrate the recent opening of its law school's new Tenley

Plans to redevelop the West Heating Plant site were slammed last Thursday by the Old Georgetown

Texas A&M and the University of Alabama.
Field's boys basketball team trumped Burke 54-28 on Friday night, but the Bengals girls topped the
Falcons 34-26.
