B 35
Two Component Structural Grade Polymer Modified
Renovation Mortar
DESCRIPTION

CLEANING

DISPOSAL/SPILLAGE

B 35 is a two component, cementitious

polymer modified high strength repair mortar
with good handling characteristics for internal
and external repairs. The hardened material
provides excellent thermal compatibility with
concrete and outstanding water requirement
ensures fast strength gain and long-term
durability.

B 35 can be removed from tools and equipment

by washing in clean water immediately after use.
Any hardened material will need to be removed
mechanically.

Spillage of any of the component products

should be absorbed onto sand or other inert
materials and transferred to a suitable
disposable vessel. Disposal of such spillage
or empty packaging should be in accordance
with local waste disposal authority regulations.

Repairing and refacing internal / external

concrete - stair treads and risers, cement
and sand screeds, concrete floors.
Patching concrete repair works.
Can be applied as conventional mortar.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate should be dry, clean and the

surface should be sound and free of dust,
grease, oil and other surface contamination.
Trafficked surfaces should be abraded (wire
brush, angle grinder etc.) to remove
contamination and expose a clean surface to
ensure good adhesion.
PRIMING

Pre-wet the substrate thoroughly with clean

water, any excess water removed prior to
applying one coat of ARDEX ENDURA
ADMIX AD1 with brush or scrubber. B 35 can
be applied as soon as the primer becomes
tacky.
Coverage of ADMIX AD1 shall be
10 m/coat/ltr
NOTE: These figures are theoretical, due to the wastages
and the variety / nature of substrates practical coverage
figures may be reduced.

MIXING

Add 2.60 litres of potable water in a clean

mixing container, then add Part B liquid 200ml
to the same container and mix the material
using heavy duty mixer or forced action mixer.
Add 20kg Part A powder to the same container
and mix thoroughly for 2 - 3 minutes to obtain
a lump free and slump resistant mortar.
Avoid using too much water. The mixed mortar
has a limited working time at 271C, this time
being extended at lower, and reduced at higher
temperatures.
APPLICATION

Apply the mixed mortar using a trowel or

gloved hand to the required thickness.
Thoroughly compact the mortar on to the
primed substrate. The mixed mortar has a
working time of 30 minutes. The material may
be finished with trowel to provide a suitable
finish. The mixed mortar sets after 5 hours. In
horizontal repairs B 35 can be applied up to
100mm.
