Hi all
The workshop yesterday was quite a success, thanks to your participation. This w
as just a brief overview of what was to be brought in front of you as we progres
s towards the event of Recognizance. As our tagline suggests, we aim at 'giving
our machines a 'vision' '.
It's a tradition of this flagship event under the Prastuti banner to give certai
n tasks as homework which has some particular weightage in the final scores, acc
ording to which the winners and the runner ups are judged. We'll try keeping it
flexible so that everyone gets enough time to comprehend things at their own spe

ed. For now, there is no homework for you, but yes, as we discussed in the works
hop, kindly have a look at the following videos on k-NN and SVM, so that our nex
t workshop will be more clear to you. And don't worry, you have ample of time be
fore we meet next.
Also, find the MATLAB Study Material attached as PDFs. These contain a full text
-book on MATLAB. You definitely cant read the whole book but it may come handy w
hen you would want to find some particular commands or functions based on your r
equirements. Besides that, we also have a gem of a PDF on Image Processing which
we have been using since our first year for reference and we hope it comes to g
reat use to you too in upcoming technical events related to Image Processing and
Manipulation.
