capture, describe and exploit data online. Diversified approaches to research add to the possibility of diverse applications, different distributions, versions and interpretation of data.
Library and Information Science professionals
are required to cope up with this situation and
handle data in terms of data collection, description, curation and involve in all other aspects of
the data cycle. In addition to information services, LIS professionals are involved in data services either in isolation or in services that complement information services. The field of data
science today is truly interdisciplinary involving
researchers producing data in many different
domains, data curators, publishers, technologists, librarians and data analysts.
The situation opens up new and interesting opportunities for professionals to explore and
learn all aspects of what has taken the shape,
holistically, of DATA SCIENCE. In view of the

Discovery (ICBK). The objective of the conference is to offer a platform for exchange of ideas
of the international community related to all
aspects of data science. The conference offers
the opportunity to explore the main theme of
Big Data and Knowledge discovery under the
following themes.

Call for papers


Original papers in English are invited on a theme
related to those mentioned below. An international
review panel will review the papers based on originality of the work, quality and relevance to the
main theme of the conference. Peer reviewed and
accepted papers will be published in the conference
proceedings. The organizers will also explore the
possibility of bringing out a special issue of an international journal with select high quality paper
submissions.
