Task 3- Representation of teenagers in film promotional material By

Kurtis Read ID: 2146

There are four people featured in this poster, these
actors are placed in the centre of the poster and as a
group displaying that they are the main purpose and
displays their significance. All are male and look
socially awkward; suggesting that they are not
popular (stereotypically banded as outcasts in
teenage life). You are able to see their facial
expressions clearly, and it is also noticeable that they
appear a mixture of confusion and awkward linking to
the genre of comedy.
The actors choice in clothing represents their
personalities, for example where actor 2 is dressed
more smartly it infers he is higher in maturity whereas
character 4 through wearing distasteful clothing such
as tracksuit bottoms appears the opposite. Depending
on whether the viewer has previously followed the
series or not they will already be aware of the
characteristics of these people, however for others the
indication that these are teenagers can be shown

The title of the film suggests only a thriller convention
and implies that the storyline is about a prestigious
society of 1st class citizens. Part of the title is boldly
lettered to suggest that it isnt completely
sophisticated linking to the phrase nobody (or in this
case, not everything) is perfect.
The colour pallet consist mainly of golds and blacks.
The background also includes scenes from the film
such as the tower bridge implying it is based in Britain
and images specifically captured for the poster itself.
There is a montage of images in the background to add
a sense of perspective to the poster.
