Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to act as the key source for traffic forecasting, market analysis and intelligence for
Dubai Airports, responsible for both passenger and cargo forecasts, and design day schedule development.
Responsible for producing detailed macroeconomic and bottom-up demand forecasting and scenario planning that
will drive the capacity and master planning processes. The role should focus on utilising the latest technology
available for streamlining the demand forecast process and data management, including the necessary
development of existing tools/software to meet the needs of Dubai Airports. Responsible for analysing and
supporting a market development strategy that will drive maximum commercial benefit to the company and working
with stakeholders to deliver on this strategy. To communicate effectively opportunities and risks to the business
due to changes in the industry and market environment and to develop corresponding action plans. Work with the
stakeholders to deliver these actions plans. Responsible for supporting the business on determining the impact of
aeronautical charging with regards to the forecast traffic. Manage and administer stakeholder and supplier
relationships as required.

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training/Knowledge

Qualifications and Education:


The job holder will be educated to degree level (in a subject with significant numerical content).
Experience:
At least six to eight years experience in an aviation forecasting related role (airline or co-ordinator experience
would be a significant advantage). Proven data analysis skills. Proven experience in stakeholder management,
especially at senior level. Strong influencing skills. Excellent network planning awareness and business
development experience. Proven ability to communicate data and information in a manner that is readily
understood by a wide audience of varied experience.
Training:
Developmental training is required in any area for professional development and/or mandatory purposes.
Knowledge:
In depth knowledge of all sectors of the aviation market and an excellent awareness of the industry.
Full understanding of scheduling process, airport operations and capacity development from airspace and airfield
through to terminal operations.

Production of a detailed bottom up forecast that drives the
commercial planning process, ensuring the forecast contains
experience, knowledge and understanding of the wider business and
market conditions.
Translation of forecasts into typical design day schedules that can be
used to inform simulation models working closely with the Capacity
Planning team.
Market Scenario Planning
Using insight to create market scenarios in addition to the base case.
Work with stakeholders on business plans that capitalize on
opportunities or mitigate risks to the business.
Communicating the impact of scenarios across the business and
influencing stakeholders to adopt the business plans.
Business Plan and Revenue Budget
Responsible for producing (and regularly reviewing) the aeronautical
revenue budget for Dubai Airports.
To provide traffic and revenue analysis and forecasts in collaboration
with the Business Development team for wider business support
including Strategy & Development, Commercial and Finance teams
to ensure the business plan objectives of the company are met.
Work with members of the Business Development team to analyse
the benefit of commercial deals to attract new business.
Schedule Co-ordination
To define schedule objectives that are consistent with the growth and
commercial objectives of the company and ensure these are clearly
communicated to schedule coordinators.
Market Intelligence
Responsible for providing regular communication on market
development activity at DA.
Stakeholder & Supplier Relationships
Manage, monitor and administer stakeholder and supplier
relationships (e.g. ACL International, external consultants etc. )
Data sources and information
Continually assess the market information available at DA. Explore
new solutions, then scope, produce business case and lead
implementation.

Stakeholder management is a key element of the role. The job holder will be required to manage a wide range of
stakeholder inputs into the master planning business development processes. The job holder will be a competent
communicator at all organisation levels, including top management.
