after changing QRxLevMin from -116 to -126dBm User/Traffic

decreased & LTE to UTRAN direction attempts increased

Dear Experts, Please need your kind & quick support, in our MTN-Huawei LTE NW We
have noticed decrease in LTE users/traffic after changing QRxLevMin from -116 to
-126dBm & LTE to UTRAN direction attempts increased, normally Lte will be increased
after this change but it decreased, for Ericsson it increased by 26% as expected,

There are a couple of parameters you need to provide info about...
On what threshold is the UE reselecting to 3G or 2G from LTE in idle mode and in connected
mode?
You might have stretched the coverage by changing qRxLevMin to -126 but chances are your
UE at that low rsrp camps on LTE but is downgraded to legacy network right away.... Unlike
before when your ue's would camp in only those lte crlls better than -116, now those
showing up at -126 are also eligible but the thresholds I mentioned might not allign with this
new value

What is current value for B2? If ue is mostly idle on Lte and when call connects at relaxed
qrxlevmin -126, i think ue will experience more inter - rat attempts if B2 criteria is met and
thus reduce lte traffic in connected mode. need to also update b2

Dear you can check the following parameters, for further troubleshooting in detail.
* tune serving threshold LOW and Threshold LOw and 3G to LTE reslection Threshold as well
to stop ping pong. I believe UEs are experiencing ping pong, please check the MO-SIG att on
LTE side must also be increased.
* as Dada told above, please tune B2 accordingly and redirection threshold should also be
tune accordingly
* please check traffic reduction is due to PDCCH blocking or high re transmissions from cell
edge

Dear Rashid few comments from my side my be helpful for you. Normally operator use same
tower and mount the 3G + 4G antenna over it. So, you should know how much delta is there
between RSRP and RSCP at one single point. For us its around 5 to 10db. So, in your case i
can see that you have set the servingLow to -118 and you put ThresholdXlow -104, which is
not possible to reach, i think you should change ThresholdXlow to -112 otherwise UE will be
trapped in the LTE and InterRATHOUtranThrRSCP to -110 and interRATHOThRSRP to -115,
because in your settings i believed B2 will not triggered and UE will use only redirection to
go towards 3G. Plus i asked you before please share the reslection threshold from 3G to LTE
and tune it properly.
About the traffic decrease please share the following stats.
* there any change in the number of connected UEs

* in the BLER and number of transition from insync to out sync UEs
* CQI for cell
