Calculation Conversion of Nitro engine size to Electric Engine


size
Hi!
It'squitehardtofindEPropchartsanywherewhileI'veseenmostlyprop
chartsmainlyfornitroengines.Isthereaformulatoconvertthenitroengine
sizeonapropcharttogetanelectricenginesize?
I'mcurrentlyusingAeronautEProp10x6,needtofindsomewaystoget
somefigurestoseeifitiscompatiblewithmyTurnigyC35421000for
furtherperformancecalculations.

Therearen'treallyanychartsbecausetherearesomanyvariableswith
electric.
Whenyouconsiderthenumberofdifferentkvratings,thepossiblebattery
voltagesthatcanused,andthedifferentflightcharacteristicsthepilotmight
want,(smallerdiameter,coarsepitchforspeed,orlargediameter,finepitch
forthrust),thechoicesforjustoneelectricmotorisquiteconsiderable.
WhereasanICenginecanhaveaverylimitedrangeofpossibleprops.

Someofthecalculatorstakeintoaccountthemodel,andtheflyingstyle,as
wellasthemotor.
Amust,ifyouhaven'talreadygooneisawattmeter,(oratminimumand
ammeter),justtosaveoverproppingamotorandburningit,and/or,the
ESCout.
