Environment comes from the French word environ which means

surrounding, thus it is all the elements of the physical and biological world
surrounding us as well as the interaction between them. This also include also
the natural resources and ecosystem services, processes essential to sustain
resources and aesthetic and cultural benefits of ecosystems
2. Within the environment scope are first, the natural resources which are the
fauna, flora, water, soil, air and minerals; next is ecosystem services like crop
production, energy supply and soil maintenance; then processes essential to
resources provision which includes nutrient cycles, climate patterns and
flooding control; and last, the aesthetic and cultural benefits of ecosystem
3. In our modern world, increase in population and urbanization has produce a
massive amount of problems in our environment. It has been degraded
because of the pressure on our natural resources. And now to prevent the
further degradation, the government pass laws which initiated public
awareness about environments. But law itself cannot prevent it, so it seek
public participation by conducting environmental education which let the
society learn about the issues and challenges on our surround and how to
minimize its effect.
4. Environment is very much important to every living creature, including us.
Thus, its problems are also our problems. Environmental studies educates us
about this by making us aware of the issues and challenges that our
environment is facing, which sooner or later will be our major problem.
5. Physical environment is the material and tangible conditions in which we live
like air, water, greenspace, soil.
6. Biological environment are the natural biological biological factors that affect
us like wild animals, plants and bacteria
7. Global warming is the increase in the normal temperature of the Earths
atmosphere and ocean which leads to the permanent change in the climate.
Global warming cannot be prevented but we can limit its effect. First by
letting ourself be a part of the change, raising awareness to everyone. We
should plant more trees to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide in the air.
Lets minimize the usage of cars. Avoid using products that contains CFC. Use
recyclable and environment-friendly products. Increase use of renewable
energy
8. Pollution is the introduction of a contaminant to land, water, air or other parts
of environments which makes them unsafe or unsuitable to use.
9. Our role in preventing pollution is to be the initiative. Most of us are already
aware of how to reduce the effects of pollution but do not initiate the action.
Thus, by being the first one to make the move, we can influence to others to
do the same. It is possible if we believe that we can actually make the change
and be fully aware of the dangers coming if we do not make an action now.
10.We should contact first the local government and try to get their help in
conducting the case study and education people regarding disaster
management. Then we can study that the certain are is facing with its
environment. After that conduct seminar/activities which will make them
aware of the problems with their environments and manage the impeding
disaster they might meet.
