- the teacher asks the students who is on duty and who is absent
- the teacher prepares the materials for the class
- the teacher checks the students homework
Presentation: the students are told what the new lesson is about and
what they are expected to do in class.

Aim: to revise vocabulary related to new technology, computers, and
internet
Operational objective: the students will discuss the various
computer-related issues in pairs
Procedure : the students are asked to discuss a few questions with a
partner and vote whether or not the Internet is a good thing, and
whether or note-mails are better than conventional letters or phone
calls

Activity 2: reading comprehension

Aim: to practice reading comprehension-reading for gist
Objective: the students will find out which of the web sites listed is
the writers favourite.
Procedure: the students are asked to read the reviews of different
websites quickly and find out the information required; the teacher
checks the students reading comprehension abilities
Interaction: student-student, student-teacher, teacher-student
Activity 3: matching the information

Aim: to practice reading skills
Objective: the students will match the information to the questions
Procedure: the students are asked to re-read the reviews and then
match the information to the questions.
Activity 4: practicing new vocabulary

Aim: to practice reading and writing skills
Objective: the students will locate the words in the reviews and try to
use them in their work whenever possible.
Procedure: The students are asked to find in the text the information
required by exercises D,E,F, page 134.This task will help students
become familiar with the definitions and uses of confusing words. The
teacher checks students answers.

Aim: to develop listening skill
Objective: the students will listen to see which of the speakers
expresses each of the opinion listed in the questions.
Feed -back: the teacher evaluates the students performance in class.
Homework: The teacher gives students as homework to write an
argumentative essay discussing the advantages and disadvantages of
using the Internet.(250 words)
