TamCem 6R

Water-Reducing Retarding Admixture for Concrete

DESCRIPTION

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

TamCem 6R is a special plasticizer for concrete. It is a nonchloride liquid admixture specially formulated to give
water reduction and impact workability and extended open
time to concrete. It is compatible with all cements meeting
recognized international standards and to comply with the
requirements of ASTM C 494 for Type B & D water
reducing and retarding admixtures.

Compatibility
TamCem 6R is compatible to be in contact with other
superplasticiser and/or water-reducers.

TamCem 6R extends the hydration process for retarding

both initial and final time of setting and perform significant
dispersibility to cement particles; thus enhance in strength
development.

KEY BENEFITS

>

Good cohesion, no segregation and minimal bleed water

along with extremely high levels of workability.
Controllable long open time, enhances placement and
delivery control.
High elastic modulus, low shrinkage and creep are
achieveable with proper controlled coarse and
aggregates.
Easy finishes without tearing or stickiness.

Dosage and batching

The chemicals and materials used in the admixture
formulation do not significantly affect the setting or
hardening rate of the concrete.
Dosage can be adjusted to meet mix design requirements
or to meet specific job site conditions. Trial concrete
mixes must be carried out to determine the appropriate
dosage.
An Independent dispenser and feed line must be used
during the application. TamCem 6R can be added to the
mixed concrete or into the mixing water. Addition to any
dry concrete mix is not recommended.
Typical dosage is 200 ml - 400 ml / 100 kg of
cementitious binder. Should application conditions require
a higher dosage rate, consult your local Normet
representative.
PACKAGING
TamCem 6R is supplied in IBCs, drums and bulk. Packaging
size may vary subject to local regulations and
requirements, please contact your local Normet
representative for more details.

STORAGE
TamCem 6R should be kept dry and out of direct sunlight,
stored at room temperature above 0C. If these
conditions are maintained and the product packaging
remains sealed, then a shelf life of one year can be
