TT: elicit from students how we introduce points chronologically using a formal register.
ST: give certain phrases that they use to list items or sequence ideas such as firstly ,secondly
,thirdly, the most important,
TT introduces the need to the students that it is good style to often limit the ideas, opinion or
suggestions to a maximum of three.

Elicit from students instances when they need to summarize for instance, a movie, a
conversation, plot of a novel, passage.
Ask students to read an article in their language and give the class the gist of what the passage or
movie is about.
Students realize that they need to organize and sort the information they have and collate only the
relevant information needed.
