Teaching aims: -to enable students to use the Present Perfect Simple and Past Simple when its
needed
-to develop students reading abilities
-to enable students to talk about past events using one of these tenses

Learning aims: -the students will be able to expose coherently their opinions
- the students will be able to talk about present events using correctly the tenses
-the students will be able to use correctly the forms of the Present Perfect Simple
and Past Simple

Exponents: Grammatical structures: Present Simple (to have), Present Perfect Simple, Past
Simple

Anticipated problems: The students usually omit the form has when using the verb in the
Present Tense Simple, 3rd person, sg. The students build the second and third form of some
irregular verbs by adding the particle -ed as they do with the regular verbs.
