Supply of Pre-engineered steel building as per specification which includes design, engineering, materials
procurement, shop fabrication, painting, transportaion, erection at site, finish painting, etc. as detailed below :

Checking centre lines, levels of all foundation blocks including checking lines, level, position and plumb of all bolts
and pockets. The PEB contractor will coordinate with civil contractor for levelling, alignment, centering of foundation
bolts & templates. The PEB contractor shall be responsible and shall fully satisfy himself regarding the correctness
of the foundations before installing the fabricated structures on the foundation blocks.
6.2
Erection of PEB structures, roof panels, wall panels, gutter, downspouts, canopy, translucent panels,turbo air
ventilators,rolling shutters and any other members and any other accessories necessary to complete the job.

Aligning, leveling, bolting securely fixing in position in accordance with the approved drawing.
6.4
All minor modifications such as removal of bends, kinks, twists etc. for parts damaged in transport and handing,
cutting, chipping, filing, grinding etc. if required for preparation and finishing of site connections, reaming for use of
next higher size of rivet or bolt for holes wich do not register or which are damaged.
Re-fabrication of parts damaged beyond repair during transport and handling or are incorrectly fabricated, fabrication
of all parts omitted during fabrication by error or subsequently found necessary, plug welding or re-drilling of holes
which do not register and which cannot be reamed for use of next size of rivet or bolt.
Surface preparation, painting of welded joints if necessary including finish painting of damaged paints during
transportation and site works.

BUILDING DESCRIPTION
Designing, obtaining approval from owner, fabricating, supplying, unloading at site, erection of
building structure with roof panels, wall panels , air turbine ventilators, roof curb, eaves and
gutters, canopy over doors, downspouts etc. and all other necessary members complete as per
drawing & specifications for erection and fixing of Pre-engineered steel building for warehouse
of size 60m x 12m divided in to three compartments of size 20m x 12m each (including partition)
and Eave height 5m with full side cladding, 3 nos. of doors of size 3m x 3.5m with rolling shutter
and chajja (canopy) of size 1m x 4m excluding civil foundation and electrical works but with
attached general features and specifications:

Applicable code : 1.The building design and installation shall fully comply with the requirements of the Bureau of
Indian Standards and other statutory regulations that are in force in the place of installation. The
work shall be carried out in accordance with the latest editions of relevant BIS standards
particularly the following and wherever Indian standards are not available, International
standards shall be followed:
(A) IS 875 : 1987 Code of practice for design loads (other than earthquake) for building and
structures.
(Part I) Dead loads Unit weights of building materials and stored materials.
(Part II) Imposed loads.
(Part III) Wind loads.
(B) IS 800: 2007 Code of practice for general construction of steel.
(C) IS : 1893 Part I :2002 Criteria for earthquake resistant design structure General provisions
and buildings.
IS 1893 Part 4 : 2005 Criteria for earthquake resistant design for structures.
(D) IS 513: 1994 Cold rolled low carbon steel sheets and strips.
(E) IS 2062 : Steel for general structural purpose.
Special conditions:
1. The successful bidder shall submit the detail drawings & design calculations considered
for the proposed work (both PEB & civil foundation) within 2 weeks of issue of purchase
order to enable the owner to check technical suitability of the design and the bidder has
to incorporate the comments of owner, if any without any price implications.
2. The successful bidder has to resubmit the modified foundation details incorporating
NRLs comment if any, of the building within 1 weeks of approval of the design by the
owner for enabling the owner to construct necessary civil foundation work.
3. The scope of work :The brief description of the scope of work is as given below:(a) Design, Engineering, obtaining approval of owner, fabrication, supply and
installation/erection of Pre-engineered steel building for warehouse at NRL refinery
site.
(b) The civil foundation work, flooring and electrical works are excluded from the scope
of the contract. However, the civil foundation design and drawing of the building are
included in the contract.
4. The time of completion shall be strictly as per following time schedule :
(a) Submission of drawings and documents to client for approval within 2 weeks of issue
of the Purchase order. This includes the civil foundation drawing also. The civil
foundation works will be executed by civil contractor based on the approved civil
foundation drawing submitted by PEB vendor.
(b) Despatch of materials within 5 weeks from the date of approval of the drawing.
(c) Transportation time 2 weeks from the date of despatch.
(d) Site erection and commissioning within 3 weeks from the date of receipt at Site.
5. Use of PPEs is compulsorily for all workmen at site which need to be supplied by the
contractor. The colour of the helmet to be worn by Contractor Personnel is YELLOW.
The colour of safety shoe is BLACK.
6. The contractor shall strictly comply with provisions of Employees Provident Fund Act and
register them with RPFC before commencing the work. The contractor shall deposit
Employees and Employers contribution to the RPFC and shall furnish the challan /
receipt for the payment made to the RPFC along with the bill.
7. No mobilization advance shall be paid for this contract.
8. The contractor shall be responsible to provide the necessary Insurance cover CAR
(Contractors All Risk and workman compensation policy) for the period starting from the
date of site mobilization in till the completion of the job. This point is to be read in
conjunction with clause 104 of GCC.
9. Construction water and power for the job will be provided free of charge at one point at
each location subject to the availability. Further distribution is in contractors scope.
10. One 75 Ton RT crane will be provided free of charge for unloading and erection of
structural materials.
11. The vendor has to work in a running Refinery plant environment and hence necessary
safety precautions have to be ensured /taken at the vendor's cost during execution of job
at site. One supervisor for ensuring safety compliance to be engaged separately by
vendor. Any violation of safety norms/ procedure prevailing in the refinery will be
penalized as per terms of GCC of NRL.
12. Without proper work permit no work will be allowed to be taken up.
13. Apart from other workers, the vendor has to deploy one site-in-charge, one supervisor
and one safety officer for the job. Non deployment of any of these mandatory personnel
will be penalized at the rate of Rs.5000 per day for Site-in-charge and Rs.3000 per day
for supervisor and safety officer each subject to max. 3% of the work order value and
this is excluding the LD clause as per clause 29 of GCC.
14. All statutory labour laws including labour license, minimum wages etc will be complied
by the contractor.
15. Contractor have to submit the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) & Inspection Test
Plan(ITP) ,work schedule in bar chart & resource mobilization schedule for approval &
Job should be carried as per approved Plan.
16. Proper housekeeping should be maintained in the working areas on daily basis.
17. Other conditions are as per GCC & GPC of NRL.
18. All tools and plants for the job are in the scope of the contractor.
19. Contractor has to submit as built drawings of work done after completing the job.
