COURSE DESCRIPTION :

Lecture 4 per week, 50 minutes each


This is a diversified course in Electronics and Communications,
designed and developed specifically for Aviation Electronics.
This course focuses on avionic system principles, applications,
Flight Deck,

Cockpits, Navigation & Communication systems of

aircraft, interface and integration of systems.


To familiarise the students with
1. An in-depth knowledge of the principle and applications of
Avionics in Civil and Military aircrafts.

COURSE OBJECTIVES :

2. Effectively use the principles covered in analyzing and testing


the performance of avionics.
3. The basic concepts of Flight Deck, Cockpits, Navigation &
Communication systems of aircraft.
4. The working principles of Radar and flight control system in
military aircraft and the importance of certification for civil
aircraft

1. Describe the use of avionics systems and mandatory system in
civil, military aircraft and spacecraft systems.
2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the principles of digital
systems.
3. Explain the classification of Avionics system architecture and
