I never get over the excitement of

looking at a brand-new Stampin
Up! catalogue, fresh from the
printer. And this years occasions
catalogue has so many fun, new
products that its hard to know
where to look first!
The great birthday selection
really caught my eye. Some of
you may know that thanks to
my grandmother Im a birthday person. She used to say:
Forget Mothers Day, forget my Christmas presentbut
never forget my birthday! So maybe thats why birthday
cards and gift boxes are so important to me. In her own
way, my grandmother taught me that everyone wants to
be remembered on their special day. And what better
way to do that than by making something handmade
from the heart?
When you create something and give it away, its like

giving a little of yourself. Emerson said: The only true
gift is a portion of thyself. Thats why handmade cards
and notes are deeply appreciated, are often saved, and can
even become keepsakes.
I think youre going to find a lot of inspiration in the
pages of this catalogue for finding ways to share your
heart with otherswhether its through sending happy
birthday wishes or just letting someone know that youre
thinking about them. I certainly have, and I cant wait to
