Havingremovedtheburdenoftheearth,Ihaveexecutedeverythingthatwasrequiredonyourbehalf.
29.ThatveryYadavadynastyinwhichIappearedbecamegreatlymagnifiedinopulence,especiallyin
theirphysicalstrengthandcourage,totheextentthattheythreatenedtodevourthewholeworld.
ThereforeIhavestoppedthem,justastheshoreholdsbackthegreatocean.
30.IfIweretoleavethisworldwithoutwithdrawingtheoverlyproudmembersoftheYadudynasty,the
wholeworldwouldbedestroyedbythedelugeoftheirunlimitedexpansion.
31.Nowduetothebrahmanascurse,theannihilationofMyfamilyhasalreadybegun.OsinlessBrahma,
whenthisannihilationisfinishedandIamenroutetoVaikuntha,Iwillpayasmallvisittoyourabode.
32.SriSukadevaGosvamisaid:ThusaddressedbytheLordoftheuniverse,theselfbornBrahmafell
downinobeisancesatthelotusfeetoftheLord.Surroundedbyallthedemigods,thegreatBrahmathen
returnedtohispersonalabode.
33.Thereafter,thePersonalityofGodheadobservedthattremendousdisturbancesweretakingplacein
theholycityofDvaraka.ThustheLordspoketotheassembledseniormembersoftheYadudynastyas
follows.
34.TheSupremePersonalityofGodheadsaid:Ourdynastyhasbeencursedbythebrahmanas.Sucha
curseisimpossibletocounteract,andthusgreatdisturbancesareappearingeverywherearoundus.
35.Mydearrespectedelders,wemustnotremainanylongerinthisplaceifwewishtokeepourlives
intact.LetusgothisverydaytothemostpiousplacePrabhasa.Wehavenotimetodelay.
36.Once,themoonwasafflictedwithconsumptionbecauseofthecurseofDaksa,butjustbytaking
bathatPrabhasaksetra,themoonwasimmediatelyfreedfromhissinfulreactionandagainresumedthe
waxingofhisphases.
3738.BybathingatPrabhasaksetra,byofferingsacrificetheretoplacatetheforefathersanddemigods,
byfeedingtheworshipablebrahmanaswithvariousdeliciousfoodstuffsandbybestowingopulentgifts
uponthemasthemostsuitablecandidatesforcharity,wewillcertainlycrossovertheseterribledangers
throughsuchactsofcharity,justasonecancrossoveragreatoceaninasuitableboat.
39.SukadevaGosvamisaid:OfavoritesonoftheKurus,thusadvisedbythePersonalityofGodhead,the
Yadavasmadeuptheirmindstogotothatholyplace,Prabhasaksetra,andthusyokedtheirhorsesto
theirchariots.
4041.MydearKing,UddhavawasaconstantlyfaithfulfollowerofLordKrishna.Uponseeingthe
imminentdepartureoftheYadavas,hearingfromthemoftheLordsinstructionsandtakingnoteofthe
fearfulomens,heapproachedthePersonalityofGodheadinaprivateplace.Heboweddownwithhishead
atthelotusfeetofthesupremecontrolleroftheuniverseandwithfoldedhandsaddressedHimas
follows.
42.SriUddhavasaid:OmyLord,OsupremeGodamongallthedemigods,realpietyisinvokedsimplyby
hearingandchantingYourtranscendentalglories.MyLord,itappearsthatYouwillnowwithdrawYour
dynasty,andthusYouYourselfwillfinallygiveupYourpastimeswithinthisuniverse.Youarethe
supremecontrollerandthemasterofallmysticpower.ButalthoughYouarefullycapableof
counteractingthebrahmanascurseagainstYourdynasty,Youarenotdoingso,andYourdisappearance
isimminent.
43.OLordKesava,mydearmaster,IcannottolerategivingupYourlotusfeetevenforafractionofa
moment.IurgeYoutotakemealongwithYoutoYourownabode.
44.OmydearKrishna,Yourpastimesaresupremelyauspiciousformankindandareanintoxicating
beveragefortheears.Tastingsuchpastimes,peopleforgettheirdesiresforotherthings.
45.MydearLord,YouaretheSupremeSoul,andthusYouaremostdeartous.WeareYourdevotees,
andhowcanwepossiblyrejectYouorlivewithoutYouevenforamoment?Whetherwearelyingdown,
sitting,walking,standing,bathing,enjoyingrecreation,eatingordoinganythingelse,weareconstantly
engagedinYourservice.
46.Simplybydecoratingourselveswiththegarlands,fragrantoils,clothesandornamentsthatYouhave
alreadyenjoyed,andbyeatingtheremnantsofYourmeals,we,Yourservants,willindeedconquerYour
illusoryenergy.
