Interns to analyze, design, and develop SAP enablement programs.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Develop courseware, including design documents, content development, production, and
testing
Design and develop learning materials that align with role-based curricula for implementation
consultants as well as other roles as required.
Produce innovative, world-class instructional solutions to support a variety of delivery types,
including eLearning, virtual instructor-led and instructor led.
Work with people around the world and across SAP to rapidly gather information, refine
objectives, and produce training thats relevant and of the highest quality

Evaluate training curriculum effectiveness and propose adjustments or new curriculum


additions as needed
Actively research best in class learning organizations to understand emerging trends, tools and
processes in learning; work to incorporate those trends, tools and processes within SAP

Job Summary The Instructional Designer (ID) will design and develop learning solutions
including but not limited to web/computer-based learning, instructor-led, blended instruction
and virtual sessions. The ID works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to obtain the information
to be taught and organize it into logical, instructional patterns that are appropriate for the
culture and level of expertise of the end users. This individual demonstrates the application of
adult learning instructional design to the technology and/or retail industry. Personal
organization and execution are essential to delivering top quality training deliverables on time
and on budget.

Qualifications

Detailed knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and distance learning theories
and methodologies.

Computer skills in a variety of software, including Microsoft Office applications.

Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication


skills.

Experience designing curriculum and/or supporting content for instructor led and
computer based training.

Experience applying adult learning principles to courseware design.

Experience in multiple delivery facilitation.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in adult education, instructional design or related field.

A minimum of 2 years experience applying instructional design techniques and


methodologies to create learning and performance courseware.

Knowledge of the display/media function is required

Additional Qualifications:

Summary:
Applies instructional design processes and techniques to classroom and
online curriculum and course development. Also, provides leadership
and expertise in the supervision of contracted instructional designers.
Working with the Curriculum Project Manager and Program Specialists,
produces curriculum and courses for ECA schools. Knowledgeable of and
keeps current with the literature related to curriculum trends and best
practices for online education and actively participates in the
continuous research and application of innovative practices in
instructional design.
Requirements

Duties and Responsibilites:

Apply the appropriate learning theory, instructional theory,


and/or applications of media to curriculum and course
development.

Apply a systematic instructional design and development model


in real world online settings.

Design usability studies and needs assessments to support


ongoing development and improvement of product.

Identify areas of weakness in courses and employ strategies for


improvement. Take appropriate steps to address any problems
noted through revision and re-development.

Develop curriculum, courses, assessments and instructional


media as needed in the creation and improvement of ECA
curricula.

Coordinate, with the project manager, internal and external


instructional design resources to develop consistent, high-quality
course products.

Evaluate the content performance of instructional design


contractors.

Ensure that course design is modeled after best practices and is


reflective of input from all appropriate levels of personnel
involved with course development and implementation.
