themcomeout.OneofthemwhocrossedthisworkplaceRubiconwasApekshitKhare.WhenGodrejannouncedachangeinpolicyso
thatpeoplecouldnominatetheirsamesexpartnersinacommittedrelationshipforbenefitsliketreatmentatthegroup'shospital,Apekshit
wasthefirstonetotakeitupandnominatehispartner.

participate."Icouldnotgobecauseofotherwork,butitfeelsgoodthatthetopmanagementissendingthesesignals,"Apekshitsays.As
aresultofthisopenness,Apekshit,Udayanandotherslikethemarenowabletobringintheirpartnersforfamilyeventsattheoffice.Both
theircolleaguesandpartnersarecomfortableinteractinginasocialsetting.
