Reaching higher quality standards

The world is striving for higher standards. Governments are
exploring alternatives to fossil fuels in order to meet climate
change targets but, in the meantime, energy companies are
expected to maintain a stable and secure power supply.
The desire to reduce carbon emissions while facilitating
greater movement between major hubs is creating complex
engineering challenges for the rail sector. In the Defence
sector, the establishment of the Military Aviation Authority
(MAA) requires companies to take a much more proactive
approach to safety and airworthiness.
In short, customers are more demanding. They expect you to
support environmental goals and achieve flawless safety and
reliability, but they are also seeking sharper project execution.

A fast, expert response

The environments you work in are sometimes harsh or remote.
You need consultants who can respond straight away, wherever
you are based, with focused insight of your technical requirements.

Market overview:

Your challenges
Wherever you are in the world,
your business faces increasing
pressure to ensure its assets and
services meet safety, environmental
and reliability goals and create
efficiencies during their lifecycle.
At the same time, you must
complete projects under budget,
within challenging timescales and
in line with stringent regulations.
These challenges affect organisations
across multiple sectors, including
developers of railways, airports and other
critical infrastructure projects, owners

and operators of Oil & Gas plant and

equipment, businesses supporting the
effective running of defence programmes
and nuclear energy companies investing
in new-build facilities or extending the life
of old plants.
Your success is dependent on how
well you manage the safety, performance
and availability of your operations,
ensuring they have minimal impact
on your people and neighbouring
communities. With this in mind, our
consultants believe there is no margin
for error.

Our people have backgrounds, qualifications and engineering

experiences specific to your sector, which means we can tackle all
these challenges and more head-on with speed, certainty and
precision. Our experts broad capabilities and their passion to share
ideas internally ensure that we stay at the forefront of our industry
and provide our clients with a service that is second to none.

Trusted partners in quality

Our customers come back to us time and again because of
the quality of our service coupled with the in-depth technical
knowledge of sectors and stakeholder requirements. As a

Power Engineering

By providing a highly responsive and flexible consultancy

service, we enable you to make investment decisions with
confidence at any time during the projects lifecycle. Our early
involvement offers key advantages in terms of the optimisation
of technical performance, value-engineering reviews to
maximise cost reduction, risk minimisation, and compliance
with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Asset Integrity
To maximise the availability and safety of large, high-value
assets, our clients know they must invest in asset design,
integrity and reliability assessments at each stage of the assets
lifecycle. We provide owners and operators of these assets with
technical information to enable them to make informed asset
maintenance, repair or replacement decisions.

We implement an approach of product, people, process and

policy to influence the success of a capability. This is ultimately
measured by your ability to meet your operational and
financial objectives. We offer techniques and tools to model
the effectiveness of a capability and to predict future risks,
allowing mitigation measures to be designed.

The challenges the power sector faces, such as increased

competition, deregulation and environmental pressures,
require you to be assured of the economic, financial and
technical viability of your projects.

We can support you on an ad hoc basis or provide an integrated
through-lifecycle service and across multiple sites, becoming an
integral part of your team. From concept and planning, through
design and commissioning, to operation, maintenance and
disposal, we can provide the technical abilities, services and
guidance you need to make informed decisions.

We understand that the procurement of equipment or services is

only one part of enabling a successful capability. The ability to use
your high-quality product when and where it is required and in a
safe manner, is fundamental to your end objectives. Our services
ensure that a product or service is influenced at the design stage
