Proposal Consultancy Projects

In todays dynamic business and economic environment faculties with relevant industry and
academic experience can take advantage of their knowledge base take up some assignments
other than teaching. The type of assignments that can be pursued by the faculty are:

Consultancy assignments for Corporates or Non Profit Organisations

Corporate Training Programs

We put forward this proposal for allowing the faculty at the AGBS Campuses to pursue
management consultancy projects

& Corporate Training Programs, depending on the

respective faculties area of interest.

Consultancy assignments for Corporates or Non Profit Organisations

This corporate exposure will not only help the faculty to develop consulting competency but
shall also broaden

the necessary skills to support organizations so that the "everyday

business" may effectively run. Besides contributing to the professional development of the
faculty and the Institute's understanding of the practical aspects of management, they also
serve to improve management practices in business, industry and the government. On a
beginners note the faculty might like to approach corporates and take up market research
assignments.

Some of our faculty members also have relevant experience:

For Example Dr.Pallavi Mittal did a Project with association with CEPT
University with funding from the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation on Waste
Management in the states of Maharashtra & Gujarat. She undertook this project

before joining AGBS Ahmedabad in August 2012.

The students will also benefit as this kind of exposure for the faculty will help
them students get exposure to an altogether different platform. Students might also
get broader exposure or chance to work on live projects.

The faculty can develop network with corporates and academicians during these.
These networks can be further en cashed for approaching the corporates for
placements or attracting better academic talent pool to the campus.

Corporate Training Programs

The faculties with good communication skills and relevant experience can use their skills to
offer training programs / workshops / seminars for

Corporates
Students of various Under Graduates and Post Graduate Students
Personality grooming sessions for freshers
These seminars can be on variety of topics like
o Stress Management
o Leadership
o Team Management
o Communication Skills etc..

This exposure of the faculties to the programs can help the faculty to gain exposure to a
different aspect of teaching.

It will also help the faculties to develop and establish

relationships with corporates and other educational institutions like (Schools/ Under graduate
colleges).Seminars and workshops at educational institutions and corporates will promote and
contribute significantly to the institute brand building. Which in turn can lead to better brand
recall and preference among students seeking admissions in various BBA and MBA courses.
Considering all the above mentioned benefits of allowing the faculty to work for consulting
projects or training programs we hereby propose to allow the faculties to undertake such
assignments.
