    havecometotheconclusionthattheTownof
    Amherst,throughitsappointedCableAdvisory
    Committee(CAC)shouldpursuethefollowing
    lineofaction.
    IbeseechtheTownManagerandSelectBoard
    memberstosendwrittencommuniqutothe
    UniversityofMassachusettsatAmhersttotheir
    HousingServicesviatheCAC,requestingall
    pertinentfinancialinformationregardingtheir

    previouscontractwithComcastcablesince2006
    andthemorerecentandexistingChartercable
    servicescontractedbetweentheUniversityof
    Massachusettsandthetwocablecompanies.
    TheserequestsareinaccordancewiththeFCC
    rulingsSEC.622{47U.S.C.542}FranchiseFees.
    IbelievethattheTownofAmhersthasnotbeen
    dulyawardedtheirfranchisefeesregardingthese
    twocontracts.
    Ihavebeenconductingbackgroundresearchon
    theproperavenuestopursueinthesemattersand
    haveopeneddialoguewithprofessionalcompanies
    thathavehistoricallyundertakensuchauditsof
    cablecompanies.Iwouldbeveryhappytoshare
    myfindingswiththeCACattheirnextappointed
    meeting.
