What is constellation? Have you ever wondered the story behind them?

Assalamualaikum to Mrs. Fiffy. As for today, Im going to talk about constellation.

There are about 88 constellation known that has shined the dark night sky. In
Latin, stella means star, while com- means a group of. I bet you could already
guess, constellation is a group of stars forming a recognizable pattern that is
traditionally named after its apparent form or identified with a mythological
figure.
Ive always been fascinated by those mythical creatures like the Unicorn, the
Pegasus, the Sea-serpent and much other mythical creatures. Somehow I hoped
they were real, because those creatures were so beautiful in every different way.
But instead of reading you all the boring facts like when does it usually shows up
in the sky, or whats the names of all the stars making the pattern, Im going to
tell you the story behind the constellation itself, or should I say the myth.
Firstly, the constellation Orion. Have you ever heard of it? So the story begins of
where the Sea-god Neptune (nope, not the planet Neptune) and the great
huntress Queen Eurgale of the Amazons were the parents of Orion. Orion
inherited his mothers talent, and became the greatest hunter in the world.
Unfortunately, with his immense strength, came an immense ego, and so he
boasted that he could defeat any animal on Earth. In response to his vanity, a
single yet small scorpion stung him & killed him. Who wouldve thought that
Orion would die, stung by a scorpion? Well lets move on to the next
constellation.
Next, the constellation Phoenix. Phoenix in Greek means dark red or purple, thus
the name Phoenix was given, based on its colour. Phoenix was a bird of
incredible beauty who would live for 500 years. The bird would build a nest of
twigs and leaves that would be lit up by the noon sun. The Phoenix would then
be consumed by fire, but a small worm would emerge from the fire and grow into
another Phoenix. How amazing would that be? Im dying to see it with my own
eyes!
Last but not least, the constellation Draco. The story behind Draco is that he was
one of the Gigantes, who battled the Olympic gods for ten years. One day, it was
killed by the Goddess Minerva and tossed into the sky upon his defeat. As
Minerva threw the dragon, it became twisted on itself and froze at the cold North
Celestial Pole before it could right itself.
Despite all the myth behind the constellation Ive told, there are many more
mysterious myth behind each and every constellation. If youve ever felt curious,
Mr. Google would always be the one to tell you whats what. Before I end my
topic, I would like you to acknowledge the constellation up high in the sky,
through your bedroom window as behind each and every star, theres a whole
new world that well never experience. With that, I thank you.
