CampusView360º

CampusView360º is the leading operational risk mapping and incident response system available. It is a
comprehensive visual and informational database of the entire physical plant of the campus, used by Risk
Management, Facilities, Engineering, Construction, Public Safety and Student Services departments - to catalog
and access multiple layers of information and to give area first responders intensely accurate “situational
awareness” before putting officers in harms way when responding to emergencies and critical incidents.

For Security purposes, the CampusView360™ Database is extremely easy to use in the field, by actual first
responders who have been tasked by their superiors to analyze an incident scene prior to arrival and by incident
commanders. The secure system displays for authorized users and emergency personnel, the true “reality” of
each building that they may be forced to enter. The system uses digital technology and immersive
photography, satellite/aerial imagery, computer rendering, hard data integration and multimedia presentation to
provide emergency personnel and site representatives with a 360° virtual tour of any site or structure –
delivering unparalleled situational awareness. Immediate, detailed, accurate, and comprehensive tactical
information is provided in an easy-to-use manner thus giving emergency response and site personnel an inside
edge in dealing with crisis situations on campus.

The database provides high-resolution views of the exterior and interior of campus buildings keyed to site
information including structure, water supply/distribution, fire and security protection, contact information of
site, first responder and university personnel, hazardous materials inventory, guides, amount, locations and
images, various accepted tactical guides, site access/egress locations, electronic floor plans aerial & satellite
imagery and more. It includes access to the campus Emergency Operations Plan Website, so responders can
cross reference campus-specific procedures and understand exactly what administrators will be doing as they
follow their site-specific procedures prior to the arrival of first responders or Emergency Team members. It is
updatable and flexible to ensure clients’ changing needs are continually met. Because the system is based on
multiple NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) standards, DHS-recommended best practices, and the know-
how of experienced field professionals, clients are assured that it will be designed and structured on proven
emergency management methodology.

We obtain the campus’s original floor plans and integrate emergency response data (e.g., utility shut-offs,
access points, stairwells, elevators, virtual environments, etc.) These floor plans are modified with an ID
template and are integrated into the system. Templated files are then forwarded to the Facilities Dept. for easy
updating and large format printing. In addition to traditional photography, we incorporate “virtual
environments” with the use of specialized cameras and lenses, software compression and rendering methods,
and live feeds from IP-enabled security cameras. The locations of these 360° views are referenced numerically
on each floor plan. No other database system provides this level of quality situational awareness.

Access to the MapServer module of the database is typically provided to Security and Facilities officials and first
responders. Once they access the MapServer, the following interface will become available (with an overview of

Liability Protection

CampusView360 is Safety Act Certified, shielding clients that implement the system from all liability associated
with the use of the technology during Safety Act-Designated acts of terrorism, as defined by the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This liability shield can be an important element in institutions’
approach to enterprise risk management.
