The essay was very helpful in understanding the approaches that Gaiman uses throughout
the novel. The author says that Gaiman has a clear outlook on American gods and
mythology considering he has an outsiders perspective. Gaimans approach is not biased
because he is not American. Overall, this essay critiqued the novel in a way that the
reader can fully understand and apply when or after reading Gaimans novel.
