I used this source as a photo in my project. It helped me understand why the
went to the moon. I categorized it as a primary source because it is a photo
of a member of the Apollo 11 team and when they were on the moon.

used this documentary as how the Cold War affected the Space Race. This
documentary showed how the Cold War caused the Space Race. I categorized
it as a primary source because the majority of it were quotes, clips, and audio
clips.

backround information and I'm planning on using a piece of the audio clip in
my website. It was the audio from the flight days heading to the moon, it
gave me a first person view of the astronauts experiences. I categorized it as
a primary source because it is audio from the event.

I used this as backround information in my project. It is the astronauts
flashbacking to the day they went to the moon, so It helped give a visual and
gave more information. I categorized it as a primary source because it is the
astronauts talking about their experience.

I used this as backround information and quoted information. It helped me
understand the process of a spaceship taking off. I categorized this as a
primary source because it is a transcript featured in an article in 1969.

I used this source as a photo in my project. It helped me understand the living
quarters in the Apollo 11. I categorized it as a primary source because it is a
photo taken during the actual event.

photos and document transcripts as photos and backround information in my
website. It showed the stress of such a big event and the importance weighed

backround information. The PDF had various primary sources, which all
helped my understanding of the topic. I categorized it as a primary source
because of the photos taken during the event and the transcripted
documents.

to use this page as how the sattelites on the opposing sides were different,
and how the opposing sides tried to trick each other. It is a primary source
because it is research results.

the documentary as backround information. It explained thoroughly of the
events of the Space Race, not only for the USA but also for the U.S.S.R. I
categorized it as a primary source because of the content they had in it.

this video as a clip in my website. It not only showed Neil Armstrong stepping
onto the moon, but also featured the famous words he said. I categorized it
as a primary source because it is a video from the event.

backround information for the USSR side of the Space Race. It wrote about

what the Race to Space meant to the USSR. I categorized it as a primary


source because it is a memoir of someone who was there.
"Sputnik." Nasa History. Web. 22 Nov. 2015.
<http://history.nasa.gov/sputnik/chap11.html>. I used this as backround
information for one of the first times an object was sent into space. This is a
chapter from a book titled Sputnik that I found online, this particular chapter
was extremely detailed, even describing the weather of the day. I categorized
it as a primary source because this particular chapter is a first person view,
the author saw this day.

online exhibitition of the Space Race, which I took photos and information
from. This described how it began, what both sides felt, and what they did. I
categorized it as a secondary source because it is not from the day of, it's
from a second-hand account.
"Russian Space Program." Russian Space Program. Web. 20 Nov. 2015.
<http://www.guidetorussia.com/russian-space-program.asp> I used this as
detailed information for the USSR side of the Space Race. This page was
about the Russian Space Program in its early days, the days of the Space
Race, it helped me learn more about it since the majority of the pages I found
were about the US side. I categorized it as a secondary source because it is
not a first person account, it's a historian's words.
"Apollo 11 Misson Overview." NASA. NASA, 1 Dec. 1969. Web. 21 Nov. 2015.
<http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/apollo/missions/apollo11.html>. This
was backround information on the Apollo 11 mission, I used this to gather
quotes and other various information. This described the days leading and
the day of getting to the moon. I categorized it as a secondary source
because it is a second hand account, only with a handful of quotes.
"Race to Space Timeline." PBS. PBS. Web. 21 Nov. 2015.
<http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/moon/timeline/index.html>. I included this
timeline in my project. I used this as a timeline on my project which I copied
and pasted, but gave credit. It list the events leading and events after. It is a
secondary source because it is a timeline
