October 5th, 2015

Today we talked about exams and its structure, difficulty etc. Like for
example the Ielts test thats set up by four sections which are reading, writing,
speaking and listening. From my point of view I think that the speaking part
was the easiest because we were asked personal questions even though we
get nervous even if were asked our names. Well there was also a part were
they gave us a topic and we had to think for a minute about it and then talk
about it for 3 minutes so that was the part where for me it was kind of difficult.
From this we went on to the development and examining of a language test
and why the idea of this. Well there needs to be a stant basis on how to set
teachers teaching and learning and assesment. It is offered to users as a
descriptive tool that allows them to reflect on their decisions and practice,
situate and co-ordinate their efforts, as appropiate, for the benefit of language
learners in their specific contexts. Furthermore, we talked about what we could
do as teachers to teach by the four ways of doing it which are: reading,
writing, speaking and listening and how to make our students and ourselves
succesfull, and for this we got into our grups and disscussed about it because
we are going to present it for the next class.
I liked this class because I like the way we get into groups to present a topic
because I understand it more by the way all the ones that are in the group
give differnet ideas and their waqy of how they undestood it and so that way I
comprehend better.

October 7th, 2015


Today we had the presentations of some of my classmates. They talked
about the materials and with what kind of materials we can use as teacher
with our students so they can understand easier and also how it benefits to be
organized with our materials.

Then we saw about Krashens hypothesis which its one of the topics that I most
liked so far. Its 5 linguistic hypothesis are related to the acquisition of language
is an essential part of learning a second language, they indicated that the
student needs to be with little anxiety and provide an environment which is
motivating and self-esteem rises this all leads in a natural process which must
be interacting according to their age and knowledge of the second language,
learning is as polished and grammarians and voice systems in this depends on
the teacher for easy absorption are improved of these rules by applying a
purchasing approach to do something tedious and students learn naturally.
Furthermore we saw a presentation which left us all confused. I think what my
classmate wanted to present or talk about was the way of how us as teachers
are going to have different kinds of students, from their way of dressing,
thinking, religion and so on. And for that we have to be prepared on how we are
going to manage that so there wont be any problems between the students like
bullying and things like that. But I guess that she got real nervous and didnt
know how to keep on.
All the presentations were really interesting. I loved this class we had like a
collage of all the topics we have seen so far.
