INTRODUCTION

nformation Technology (IT) is a wider discipline of todays

world that can change the paradigm of the economy. From
kitchen appliances to the big machines, it plays significant
role in evolution of IT industry. The most important part that is
playing a vital role in the economic development is software
development industry. Software industry is playing important role
in the global economic race. Progress in this field improves the
success graph of most of dominating countries. There is no doubt
that if we say software development as a back bone of the
progress and development of every country.
Project management activities are pivotal to success or failure of
a software development project and good project management
necessitates that requirements are complete and consistent [1].
So, a well-organized and applicable model improves the project
management practices and success rate of software development
in software industries. Selection of model and method has great
influence on the project development. Doing something to plan is
called method which defines the technique to follow in order to
accomplish the project and method follows some order of system
for doing anything whereas model defines the standard follow
during the method [3].
The conventional and agile software development process
models are used nowadays in software industry to fulfill the
requirements of customers. Conventional models follow
methodological and structured approach and focused on planning
and heavy documentation.
