Course Description:

This course aims to teach students some topics about the multivariable calculus. The detailed
content includes: vectors, curves and surfaces in space, dot product, cross product; partial
derivatives, local linear approximation, chain rule, Lagrange multipliers; multiple integrals,
surface integrals; and vector Calculus.

Course Objectives:

1. To introduce the fundamental theories of multivariable calculus.


2. Be able to formulate and solve problems using partial derivatives.
3. Be able to formulate and solve problems using integrals.
4. Be able to use the vector method to solve some physical problems.
5. Be able to use the software to visualize the several variable functions.
