The AKKA Technologies Group continues to grow

The engineering and consulting company opens new branches in Munich and Ingolstadt
The AKKA Technologies Group has ambitious growth goals and continues to achieve them step-by-step.
This week the engineering and consulting company opens two regional branches: In Munich on the 17th and
in Ingolstadt on the 18th. "This step is part of the Groups diversification strategy in order to expand our
cooperation with the other OEMs but also in the Aeronautics and Railway. As such, we also want to achieve
a stronger regional presence where our customers need us", explains Harald Keller, the CEO in charge of
AKKAs German activities. In this case, the customers consist of two heavyweights in the automotive
industry: BMW and Audi. The goal is clear: Advance and intensify the cooperation with premium automotive
manufacturers. The opening of both branches is also accompanied by a technology day with technical
presentations in order to illustrate the AKKA Group's broad range of services to the customers.
The expansion also enhances the collaboration within the AKKA Group: These branches provide more than
just the premises for joint project work. The AKKA and MBtech organizations have been merged in Bavaria.
Andreas Hipp, the managing director of the AKKA GmbH in Munich has also been appointed as head of the
MBtech's Full Vehicle Engineering and Electronics Solutions business units in Munich and Ingolstadt.
"Merging the sales activities enables us to better present our combined competencies to our customers",
states Andreas Hipp. AKKA has been working for Audi and BMW for several years in Bavaria, so that wide
experiences of both partners will be joined.
The branch in Munich currently has approximately 200 employees from AKKA and MBtech. The experts at
the new headquarters in the Leopoldstrae work with both the automotive and aerospace sectors, providing
vehicle engineering, design & manufacturing engineering and electronics solutions services. The Powertrain
Solutions engine proving ground in Munich is currently undergoing modernization, an investment amounting
to several million euros.
The new branch in Ingolstadt will accommodate the employees from MBtech's subsidiary in Lenting, System
Design, which has worked for Audi in the chassis sector for a number of years. Naturally, one critical reason

for opening the new branch in Ingolstadt is the proximity to Audi, one of our most important strategic
business partners", explains Andreas Hipp. "Together with our key customer, we see outstanding
opportunities for our growth in the Ingolstadt region. The large number of highly-trained specialists and
university graduates forms the basis for our long-term commitment."
