02.06.2015 on the subject cited above for yoru information, record and necessary action.

In this connection, attention is drawn to the section 20 of the Control of National

Highways (Land and Traffic) Act. 2002 (13 of 2003) containing a provision regarding
appointment of Gazetted Officer of the Central/State Government/eqnivalent officers of the
NHAI to exercise such por,vers and discharge such fiLnctions of the High,,vay Administration to
be specified in the relevant notification to this effect. In vielv of this Act provision, it is requested
that draft notification may please be refered to this Ministry for obtaining approval before it is
