CLIENT DESCRIPTION:
AstraZeneca is one of the worlds leading ethical pharmaceutical companies which provides innovative,
effective medicines designed to fight disease in important areas of medical need: cancer, cardiovascular,
central nervous system, gastrointestinal, infection, pain control and respiratory. The Astra Zeneca Clinical
Drug Safety (CDS) Department, which is the customer for this project, would fall under the external
customer type for Cognizant.

Project description:

MATRIX is a set of project and resource management processes and supporting tools that is used
globally with in AstraZeneca R&D. The aim of MATRIX is to facilitate the development, launch and
commercialization of AstraZeneca products. It has historical/archived project data and activity data.
As part of matrix decommissioning these data would be migrated into OPAL. After the data
migration the historical project and activity codes will be available in OPAL Program BS (Breakdown
Structure) only and not in the project schedule.

Implementing OPAL Project List Business Rules in program breakdown structure.

Applying the code generation functionality in Planisware.

Project description:
The budget report is a pivotal tool, used by the AstraZeneca's project managers who are managing the
R&D projects. It is used to Plan, Execute and Control various phases of a pharmaceutical development and
helps determine whether the project is financially on track. This report demonstrates the ETC, EAC and
baselines for all expenditures involves in resource planning, materials procurement, ongoing operating
costs and other direct costs.

Resolved the critical timecard issues after timecard integration with the wrong date in P5 entered
by the users.

Design, development, testing, and maintenance of OPX2 functionality including:

Custom interfaces and modules in IMPACT, Accord, and Matrix, automation of business processes,
demand and cost Reports, Intranet Server Reports.

Developed DCF reports in Portfolio management.

Developed RAPID interface which will export the P5 milestone dates and cost details to RAPID.

Developed the RBS and OBS changes and done the impact analysis, developed the macro to move
the planned and actual date and developed the forecast purge macro as a part of RBS changes.

Resolved the critical issues like Ammortisation DCF issue, Timecard issues, DW issues, issues while
applying equations.

Data feeds to and from other applications and between OPX2 environments;

OPX2 Script, OPX2 Project Versions, and OPX2 Workflow.

Developed Data quality dashboard in Project management.

Enhancement of the CRC functionality and corrected the issues in OPAL.

Involved in Data warehouse changes.
